  • Food safety and drinking water quality -In Cyprus the safety of food and drinking water quality is monitored by the Health Inspectors of the Medical and Public Services of the Ministry of Health and the Local Authorities. Food and drinking water are of high quality Tap-water in hotels, restaurants, public premises, etc., is safe to drink.
  • Driving is on the left of the road as in the UK unlike the rest of Western Europe. All roads are toll free, big motorways connect the major towns.  The maintence of the roads is excellent. All road signs are in English as well as Greek.
  • Cyprus is a very safe island with one of the lowest crime rates in Europe. The Police are always ready to assist anyone who needs help. In case of emergency, one may telephone 199 or 112 (in all towns). All policemen speak good English.
  • Visa requirements in Cyprus are similar to the rest of the EU. We will gladly assist with information if you are from a country which requires a visa.
  • Embassies and Consulates from many countries are present in Cyprus, We will give you all necessary information when we prepare your schedule.
  • The local currency is Euro, and currency exchange is easily accessible.
  • The electricity supply in Cyprus is 240 volts, a.c. 50Hz. Sockets are usually 13 amp, square-pin in most buildings.
